CAMPS

  CAMP BOMOSEEN -  Grades completed: 6, 7, 8.  Two weeks.  Located at Crystal     Beach, Castleton.  This is a Recreation Department program, but planned and run by

Castleton’s Community of Promise.  Barb Gustafson – 273-3954

 

  SCAMP Camp – Ages 6-11.  This six week camp is sponsored by the Castleton Community Center.  It includes opportunities for hiking, swimming, cookouts, games, crafts and special field trips.  Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.  Tuition is low for half of the 40 campers and the other half who attend are scholarship campers, thanks to a grant program that helps with the camp’s expenses.  Castleton State College is also a partner in this community outreach; it provides a team of counselors who are CSC students.  SCAMP has been in operation since 2002.  Castleton Community Center – 468-3093

 

GREEN MOUNTAIN CONSERVATION CAMPS  (Ed Kehoe Camp, Bomoseen,VT)

One week sessions in June, July and August for boys and girls ages 12-14.

Fall programs available with various topics concerning VT fish and wildlife.

RECREATION DEPARTMENT  is part of the Town of Castleton, and offers programs for our town youth.  This summer there is a girl’s softball and boys Babe Ruth teams. The Rec. Department also sponsors teen nights.  In the fall soccer and flag football programs will begin.  Parents can expect sign-up sheet to go home the first week in September.
